What is the skilled worker stream?
Skilled Workers in Manitoba is part of the “Skilled Worker Stream” which selects foreign nationals for permanent residency who are living in Manitoba and who are able to demonstrate a connection to the province. Also, the foreign national must be a skilled worker, must be able to demonstrate language proficiency, work experience and education.

Work Experience
Foreign national must be working in Manitoba on a valid work permit for 6 months PRIOR to submitting your application.
Education
There is no minimum education required for this stream. However, foreign national will be able to claim additional points for education under the MPNP Point Ranking System.
What is the application procedure?
This stream selects interested candidates from a pool of qualified and eligible applicants using the Expression of Interest system. Foreign national will submit an EOI online through the MPNP Online Portal and each profile will be assigned a specific score. The provincial government will select the foreign national with the highest score and issue a LAA (Letter of Advise to Apply). Upon receiving this letter, you will submit a complete application to the provincial government within 60 days and upon approval, you will have six months to apply for permanent residency.
