What is the health authority stream?

This program permits foreign nationals both experience and job offer as physicians, nurses or medical practitioners paving the way for the health worker and their family to gain permanent residence in British Columbia.

BC Express Entry Profile

If foreign national chooses to apply for this stream using the federal express entry system under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, then you must have an active express entry profile for expedited processing. WelcomeBC states that the Skilled Worker and Health Authority streams have an Express Entry BC (EEBC) option, and that you might be eligible for it if you are in the federal Express Entry pool (welcomebc.ca, Skills Immigration, last updated 28 May 2026, read 9 September 2026). Work Experience

WelcomeBC states that you must meet the work experience required by the BC PNP and by your B.C. health authority employer, so there is no single fixed minimum published for this stream (welcomebc.ca, Skills Immigration, last updated 28 May 2026, read 9 September 2026). Your job offer and your work experience must be in the same occupation. For example, if your experience is as a registered nurse, the job offer must also be for a registered nurse.

Job Offer

You must have a full-time, indeterminate (no end date) job offer from a B.C. health authority employer, in a Health Authority-eligible occupation. You must also have the support of authorized personnel at that health authority employer before you apply, submit a completed Employer Declaration Form, and meet the minimum wage and income requirements (welcomebc.ca, Skills Immigration, last updated 28 May 2026, read 9 September 2026). No, the job offer does not have to supported by LMIA. However, the job offer must meet the provincial government’s employer eligibility criteria.

What is the CLB requirement If I apply through federal express entry?

Foreign national must meet the language requirement under the FSWP program if the applicant chooses to apply for PR using the express entry system which is CLB 7.
