The Yukon Business Nominee Program is open on a continuous, points-based model for entrepreneurs who invest in and operate a Yukon business. This page explains eligibility, the process, and how it differs from Yukon’s worker program, reviewed by a licensed RCIC.
Current status: The Yukon Business Nominee Program (YBNP) is open and accepting candidates on a continuous, points-based model in 2026. It is for entrepreneurs who invest in and operate a Yukon business. This business stream is separate from Yukon’s employer-driven worker nominee program, which has its own intake rules.

How MAK helpsThe Yukon Business Nominee Program is for experienced entrepreneurs who will invest in and actively operate a business in Yukon and who intend to settle there. It is open in 2026 on a continuous, points-based model, so it is not limited to fixed intake windows. It is important not to confuse this business stream with Yukon’s separate employer-driven worker nominee program, which is for workers with a Yukon job offer and has its own, separate intake rules. Yukon can nominate successful business applicants for permanent residence, with the federal government making the final decision.
The program generally looks for a minimum points score, a verified personal net worth with a portion in liquid funds, a minimum investment in an eligible Yukon business within a defined period after arrival, relevant business experience, and a business in an eligible strategic sector. Your net worth is verified by a Yukon-based firm. Confirm the current thresholds, because they can change.

This program fits experienced entrepreneurs who genuinely intend to invest in and run a Yukon business, who can document their funds and experience, and who meet the points and sector conditions.
It is not for passive investors, for applicants seeking a job offer route (which is the separate worker nominee program), or for those who cannot document their net worth and funds. Applicants whose plans suit a larger province should compare other provincial business routes.
You assess your points, submit your application, and have your net worth verified by a Yukon-based firm. If approved, you obtain support for a work permit where applicable, move to Yukon, and invest in and operate your business within the required period. After meeting the conditions, Yukon can nominate you, and you then apply federally for permanent residence.
Because your net worth is verified and your investment and business are assessed, the strongest applications pair a clean, documented and legal source of funds with a realistic business plan in an eligible sector. Our work combines a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, Ontario, C83028834), so the financial evidence and the business plan are prepared to the standard Yukon evaluates.
Applications commonly run into trouble when the source of funds or net worth verification is incomplete, when the business sector is not eligible, or when the investment or operation conditions are not met. Each of these requires full review.
MAK works with licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants and a CPA. We confirm whether your profile and funds fit the Yukon Business Nominee Program, prepare the financial and business documentation, and manage the staged process.
