Yukon – Critical Impact Worker Stream

Table of Contents

What is the Critical Impact Worker Stream?

The Yukon Critical Impact Worker stream is an employer-driven Yukon Nominee Program route for full-time Yukon job offers in NOC TEER 4 or 5. The foreign worker must meet the current education, language and work-experience requirements for the position. In 2026, the employer must first submit an Expression of Interest during an open intake and be invited before a full application can be filed.

What are the current Critical Impact Worker requirements?

Current stream Critical Impact Worker
Occupation level NOC TEER 4 or 5
Education High school diploma or Canadian equivalency, plus any higher education required for the position or NOC
Language Minimum CLB 4
Work experience At least 6 months of full-time relevant work experience
Job offer + 2026 selection Full-time Yukon job offer required; employer EOI and invitation required before a full application. Both scheduled 2026 EOI intakes are closed.

Where can I find current information?

See the Government of Yukon Skilled Worker and Critical Impact Worker page for current eligibility and application steps. Both scheduled 2026 EOI intake periods, January 19 to 30 and July 6 to 17, are closed. Do not assume another 2026 intake will open without a new Government of Yukon announcement.
