What is Northwest Territories Critical Impact Workers?

If a candidate can successfully fill a full-time, permanent position in a semi-skilled or low-skilled occupation, foreign nationals with at least six months of work experience in the same semi-skilled occupation may be eligible to receive a provincial nomination from the Northwest Territories through the NTNP Critical Impact Worker stream.

What is the eligibility criteria?

Active Profile (Express Entry) Required 
Provincial Connection Provincial Work experience 
Language Skills Required 
Language Proficiency CLB 4
Level of Education Education – must be related to employment offer
Work Experience Must be working for NWT employer (NOC C/D)

Where can I find out more information about this program?

The provincial government is always open to accepting NWT Critical Impact Worker applications. NTNP applications are paper-based. Application processing may take up to 10  weeks. Both t he employer & foreign national must sign a Memorandum of Understanding if the application is successful.
