What is the health authority stream?
This program permits foreign nationals both experience and job offer as physicians, nurses or medical practitioners paving the way for the health worker and their family to gain permanent residence in British Columbia.

BC Express Entry Profile
If foreign national chooses to apply for this stream using the federal express entry system under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, then you must have an active express entry profile for expedited processing. You must also have a Job seeker validation code.
Work Experience
Foreign national must have two years of full-time work experience. The job offer and work experience occupation must be the same. For example, if foreign national has work experience as a teacher, then job offer must be for a teacher as well.
Job Offer
The foreign national must have a full-time job offer from a qualified BC employer with no definite end date. The job offer must be NOC skill level 0, A or B and must be for one of the 11 health occupations which are approved by the provincial government.
The job offer must be from a BC public healthcare authority as listed below.
Provincial Health Services Authority
First Nations Health Authority
Fraser Health
Interior Health
Island Health
Northern Health
Vancouver Coastal Health
Providence Health Care
Does the job offer has to be supported by LMIA?
No, the job offer does not have to supported by LMIA. However, the job offer must meet the provincial government’s employer eligibility criteria.
What is the CLB requirement If I apply through federal express entry?
Foreign national must meet the language requirement under the FSWP program if the applicant chooses to apply for PR using the express entry system which is CLB 7.
