The Canadian government has introduced legislation permitting citizenship by descent, a major step toward increased citizenship opportunities for Canadians. What’s the OINP International Student Stream?

The OINP International Student Stream allows international students who have received job offers in high-skilled industries (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, and 3) to apply for permanent residency in Ontario. To become permanent residents, applicants must register with the Ontario Immigration and Nationality Program (OINP) Expression of Interest System (EOI), receive an invitation to apply (ITA), submit their application online, and, if nominated by Ontario, apply to the IRCC.

Job Offer Requirements for the OINP International Student Stream

For consideration, the job offer must be:

  • The position is permanent, full-time, with 1,560 hours per year and 30 hours per week.
  • If you are employed in high-skilled TEER Category 0, 1, 2, or 3 NOC jobs,
  • Exceed the Ontario minimum wage for the job.
  • Required by the employer’s ongoing operations.
  • The candidate’s family owns less than 10% of the employer’s stock and lives in Ontario.

Employer requirements

They must:

  • Maintain a three-year business presence in Ontario with no outstanding employment law orders.
  • In the past two fiscal years, you must have earned $1 million in the GTA or $500 thousand outside the GTA.
  • There should be three non-GTA residents or five full-time GTA residents employed.
  • Submit a signed, completed employer form with supporting documents.

For the OINP International Student Stream, candidates must complete these requirements:

  • To apply, they must have an OINP invitation.
  • Have a Canadian degree or diploma that requires two years of full-time study, or a one-year graduate certificate.
  • You must have a current license or authorization to apply for Ontario employment.
  • The individual demonstrates a strong inclination to reside in Ontario, as evidenced by their employment, education, involvement in volunteer work, possession of property, or relationships with their extended family.
  • After receiving a school certificate, you can apply for two years.

Scoring considerations for this program: The Employment and Labor Market Elements encompass up to 46 points. Job offers include occupational and NOC-TEER categories. The employment offer comprises a salary and a long-term commitment. Earning history.

Education: Up to 32 Points Top educational and academic achievement. Expertise in the Canadian curriculum.

Language: Up to 20 points

Speaking and understanding official languages are required.

Regionalization is limited to 20 points. Job offer and study location.

The maximum score is 118. Higher scores improve the likelihood of receiving an ITA, with a focus on healthcare, technology, and skilled crafts. A score under sixty is less competitive.
