Get the paperwork right before you submit.

Guides and editable templates for the Canadian immigration documents self-represented applicants get wrong most often, written by two licensed consultants who read these documents for a living.

Prepared by Usman Khalil, RCIC R709592, and Omer Khalil, RCIC R710149. Verify both licences on the College public register at register.college-ic.ca.

An editable MAK template A page from a MAK guide

What you are buying

  • A short PDF guide, eight or nine pages, that is mostly tables, checklists and worked examples
  • An editable Word or Excel file you type straight into, with guidance under each section
  • Plain answers on when a document helps, and when writing one makes things worse
  • Files emailed to you after payment, yours to keep, written by named licensed consultants

What you are not buying

  • Advice about your application. Nobody at MAK reviews your facts, documents or history
  • A consultation, a question-and-answer service, or representation before IRCC
  • Any promise about an outcome. These cannot cure weak eligibility or adverse facts
  • A consultant-client relationship. Buying a guide does not create one

Five guides, each with its template

Every one is short on purpose. If a guide tells you that your situation needs a lawyer or a consultation rather than a template, it says so in the first section.

  • Weak duty lines rewritten into ones that carry weight
  • What to do when your employer will not cooperate

A page from the Visitor Visa Letter of Explanation guide The Visitor Visa Letter of Explanation template

  • What each paragraph is for, with a suggested length
  • A complete worked specimen, annotated line by line

Four further guides are written but not on sale: visitor visa refusals, study permit refusals, GCMS notes and Express Entry settlement funds. An accuracy review found corrections needed in each, so they are being revised rather than sold. They will be added here when they are ready.

Before you buy

The questions worth asking

Is this advice about my application?

No. These are standardized self-help publications. Nobody at MAK has reviewed your facts, your documents, your history or your completed template. The purchase includes no consultation, no question and answer service, no document review and no representation. It does not create a consultant-client relationship.

Will this get my application approved?

No, and be careful with anyone who suggests otherwise. These guides help you organise, explain and present your information more clearly. They cannot prevent a refusal and they cannot correct weak eligibility, insufficient evidence, inadmissibility or adverse facts. Several of the guides tell you directly when your problem is not a paperwork problem.

What exactly do I get, and in what format?

A PDF guide of eight or nine pages, and a separate editable file. Seven products use Microsoft Word, one uses Microsoft Excel. The templates open in Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages. Each carries a version number and a last-reviewed date so you can see how current it is.

How do I receive the files?

Payment is taken securely by Stripe. Your receipt is emailed immediately. Your files are then emailed to the address you enter at checkout. If anything has not arrived, email info@makimmigration.ca with your receipt and we will send it straight away.

Can I get a refund?

Because these are immediately accessible digital products, purchases are normally non-refundable after download, except where a refund or cancellation right is required by applicable law. Corrupted, incomplete or inaccessible files will be replaced or refunded.

Can I share these with friends or clients?

No. Each purchase is licensed to one purchaser for personal use and may not be resold, redistributed or reproduced. If you advise people professionally and want to use these in your practice, contact us about licensing.

Immigration rules change. How current is this?

Every guide carries a last-reviewed date and lists the official sources checked. The guides deliberately avoid printing dollar figures, fees and processing times that go stale, and instead tell you where to find the current number. Always confirm the current official instructions that apply to your application before you rely on anything.

I would rather someone looked at my actual file.

That is a different service and it is a paid consultation with a licensed consultant. These guides are for people doing it themselves. If you want your documents reviewed before you submit, book a consultation instead of buying a guide.
