This week, five Canadian provinces extended invitations to candidates under their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP), boosting their chances for permanent residence in Canada. PNP nominations enhance candidates’ applications to Immigration, Citizenship, and Refugees Canada (IRCC).

In Ontario, a December 14 Express Entry draw welcomed 2,359 candidates in tech occupations, such as data scientists, cyber security specialists, and software engineers. British Columbia orchestrated five draws within the BC PNP on December 12, with the largest draw inviting 73 candidates without specific occupational targets.

Quebec’s December 7 draw for the Skilled Worker Program invited 1,187 applicants with a minimum score of 604, while Manitoba’s December 14 draws included Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education stream candidates, and Skilled Worker Overseas candidates.

Alberta, on the other hand, focused on the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, extending invitations to 19 Express Entry candidates meeting Alberta Advantage Immigration Program criteria with a CRS score of 300 and above. The processing time for applications in Alberta is estimated to be three months.

These provincial immigration updates highlight the dynamic nature of Canada’s immigration landscape, with provinces strategically targeting candidates across diverse sectors.
