The Express Entry draw is held by the Canadian government around once every two weeks. The CRS cut-off score for a certain draw is the CRS of the lowest-ranked applicant to obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Candidates who have been issued an ITA have 60 days from the date of issuance to file an official online Application for Permanent Residence to the IRCC
The recent draw highlighted Canada’s labour shortages and the government’s prioritisation of qualified foreign nationals who lack a connection to Canada in their pursuit of permanent residency. Prospective candidates are advised to expect additional selection rounds akin to the current one, accompanied by notably reduced Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores, towards the end of 2023. This is due to the anticipated surge in immigration levels, projected to reach a record high of 460,000 to 470,000 individuals.
Stats from the latest draw held on May 24th, 2023
Number of invitations issued: 4,800
Rank required to be invited to apply: 4,800 or above
Date and time of round: May 24, 2023 14:23:06 UTC
